Eli Karren

Eli Karren is an experienced educator with a strong background in teaching and mentoring. Currently serving as an Elementary School Teacher at Austin Achieve Public Schools since July 2018, Eli previously worked as a Literacy Tutor at Literacy First from August 2017 to August 2023. Additional experience includes roles as a Counselor at Digital Media Academy and Camp Downer, where Eli engaged in various group activities and relationship-building exercises with students aged 8 to 16. Eli also contributed to the Burlington School District as an Afterschool Employee from September 2014 to August 2023, providing support and educational activities for middle school students. Early work experience includes a position at Gourmet Provence focusing on dishwashing and food prep. Eli holds a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Warren Wilson College, expected to be completed in January 2024, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Vermont, obtained in 2017.
