Erik Beguin has a diverse and extensive work experience. Erik started their career at KPMG, where they served as an Assurance CPA/Auditor from 1993 to 1995 and later as a Senior Management Consultant from 1995 to 1997. Erik then joined Procter and Gamble as a Brand Manager from 1998 to 2000.

In 2000, Erik ventured into the fintech industry by working as a Product Manager and Product Marketing Manager at Works, Inc. This start-up fintech company developed a successful commercial payments platform and was later acquired by Bank of America in 2005.

Erik's entrepreneurial spirit led him to found Austin Capital Bank in 2003, where they served as the Founder and CEO. The company quickly became one of the fastest-growing companies in the nation, recognized on the list of INC 5000 fastest growing private companies in America for five consecutive years. Austin Capital Bank expanded into new digital markets and product categories, demonstrating its profitability and capital for further growth.

Throughout their career, Erik also contributed their expertise to various advisory roles. Erik served as the Former Chairman of the Community Depository Institution Advisory Council (CDIAC) at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas from 2018 to 2021. Prior to that, they were a Former Member of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) Community Bank Advisory Council from 2018 to 2020. In 2020, they served a two-year term as a Former Member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System Community Depository Advisory Council.

Erik Beguin holds an MBA from the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business, which they earned from 1997 to 1999.
