Jay Chavez

Jay Chavez is an experienced IT Manager at Austin Energy since September 2014, leading a team responsible for the selection, planning, implementation, and life-cycle management of enterprise web services. With a previous role as IT Application Developer Sr., Jay utilized comprehensive knowledge to develop user interfaces and support business needs. Prior to Austin Energy, Jay was a Graphic Designer and Web Developer at Currey Adkins, where responsibilities included designing digital and print marketing materials. Earlier experience as General Manager at R&M Mixed Beverage Consultants involved managing operations and staff to ensure high customer service standards. Jay holds a Master of Science in Management Information Systems and Business Analytics from Park University, along with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from New Mexico State University and an Associate of Arts and Sciences in Graphic Design and Commercial Art from El Paso Community College.
