Alekka Hernandez is an experienced operations coordinator currently working at the Austin Film Society since May 2022, following a role as a stylist at Stitch Fix from February 2021 to November 2022. Prior experience includes serving as comics editor for The Daily Texan and visitor services associate at the Texas Memorial Museum, both of which spanned from January 2017 to August 2020. Additionally, Alekka worked as a sales associate at Justice from July 2016 to August 2020. Alekka holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Visual Art Studies from The University of Texas at Austin, completed in 2020.

Founded in 1985 by filmmaker Richard Linklater, AFS creates life-changing opportunities for filmmakers, catalyzes Austin and Texas as a creative hub, and brings the community together around great film.
