James Best

James Best has extensive work experience in the field of medical education and research. James has held various leadership positions, including Board Member at National University Health System since 2023, and Director of Research at Austin Health since 2022. James has also served as a Visiting Professor and Former Dean at Nanyang Technological University Singapore and Imperial College London, as well as a Professor Emeritus at the University of Melbourne. Additionally, they have been involved in the establishment and leadership of the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, serving as its Dean from 2014 to 2022. Prior to that, they were the Head of the Medical School at the University of Melbourne.

James Best attended The University of Melbourne, Melbourne Medical School from 1967 to 1972, where they obtained a Bachelor of Medicine as well as a Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree.
