Jason Chuen has extensive work experience in the field of vascular surgery and medical education. Jason is currently a member of the Advisory Board for the Victorian Department of Health. In addition, they have held various roles at the Australian & New Zealand Society for Vascular Surgery, including Treasurer and Committee Member. Jason also worked at Austin Health as the Director of Vascular Surgery and later as a Vascular Surgeon. Jason has been involved in teaching and research as a Clinical Associate Professor and Senior Fellow at the University of Melbourne. Furthermore, they served as the Director of the Austin Health 3dMedLab, leading innovative research in 3D medical printing. Jason has also been actively involved in various medical associations, such as the Australian Chinese Medical Association Victoria and the American College of Surgeons. Jason has contributed to bioethics discussions as a Committee Member for the UNESCO Chair in Bioethics (Haifa). Jason has also worked as a Teaching Faculty member at the University of Sydney and a Vascular Surgeon at Eastern Vascular.
Jason Chuen's education history includes a Postgraduate Diploma in Surgical Anatomy from the University of Melbourne in 2000. Jason then pursued a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from the University of Melbourne from 1991-1996. Following this, they obtained a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in Vascular Surgery from 2001-2006. Jason went on to complete a Fellowship in Endovascular Surgery at Ashford Hospital from 2007-2008. Jason then pursued further specialization with a Visiting Fellowship in Endovascular Surgery at Park Hospital, Leipzig in 2011 and a Visiting Clinician (Observer) position at Mayo Clinic in 2013. Jason's academic achievements include a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from Monash University, with a focus on Clinical Research, Health Policy, and Clinical Leadership, from 2012-2016. Additionally, they hold certifications in Peripheral Endovascular Therapy from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and Specialist Medical Registration in Vascular Surgery from the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Jason is also an EVARplanning Certified Member.
