Matias Segura

Born in Austin, Texas, Matias Segura is the Chief Operations Officer at Austin Independent School District. Matias has worked in the public sector for their entire career, with a focus on finance and procurement. Matias began their career as a consultant with URS Corporation in 2005, before moving to AECOM in 2013, where they served as Senior Advisor for Alternative Finance & Procurement. In 2018, they returned to their hometown to take on their current role with Austin ISD. Under their leadership, the district has made great strides in improving its financial stability and increasing its transparency around spending.

Matias Segura has a MBA in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin and a BS in Civil Engineering from Texas Tech University.
