Ryan Combs

Ryan Combs, Ed.D., serves as the Director of New Student Programs and Initiatives at Austin Peay State University since July 2016, leading a team in the development and execution of programs aimed at facilitating new student transitions and fostering a sense of belonging. Combs has held various positions including Adjunct Professor, Student Success Coordinator, and Director of Student-Athlete Development, where responsibilities included curriculum development, mentoring peer leaders, and overseeing academic support for student-athletes. Previous experience includes academic coaching at Belmont University and compliance internships at Vanderbilt University. Combs holds a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Austin Peay State University and a Master's in Sports Administration from Belmont University, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications.
