Austin Pets Alive!
Clare Callison has a diverse background in animal welfare. Clare currently holds the position of Director of National Operations at Austin Pets Alive! since January 2022. Prior to that, they worked at American Pets Alive! as Maddie's Canine Lifesaving Advisor from October 2018 to January 2022. Clare also served as the Director of Operations at San Antonio Pets Alive! from October 2016 to October 2018, and as the Live Release Manager from October 2013 to September 2016. Clare's early experience includes working as the Foster/Rescue Coordinator at City of San Antonio Animal Care Services from October 2011 to October 2013.
Clare Callison holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, General. Clare obtained their degree from St. Lawrence University, although the specific dates of their enrollment and graduation are not provided.
Austin Pets Alive!
Austin Pets Alive!'s mission is to make all of central Texas no-kill for companion animals. Austin Pets Alive! created programs to save the key demographics of pets that hadn’t been making it out of our municipal shelters alive. These key groups of animals included puppies with parvovirus, unweaned kittens, cats with ringworm, dogs and cats in need of additional behavioral support and/or additional medical attention. By developing comprehensive, innovative programs that targeted these key groups of animals and pulling directly from euthanasia lists, Austin Pets Alive! has saved more than 100,000 dogs and cats since 2008.
