Sophie Verhaeghe

Sophie Verhaeghe is an accomplished violinist with extensive experience in performance and education. Currently serving as Section Violin for both the Austin Symphony Orchestra and Austin Opera, Sophie also co-founded and directs operations for Austin Camerata, an organization focused on promoting chamber music through innovative outreach. Additional roles include private violin teacher, substitute violinist for the San Antonio Symphony, and former adjunct instructor at Texas Lutheran University. Sophie holds multiple degrees in music, including an Artist Diploma from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Music from Boston University, and has participated as a violin fellow in esteemed music festivals.
