Cat Duong is an HR Strategic Project Manager for H-E-B’s Manufacturing, Warehouse and Transportation Division. She is driven by cultivating an environment where everyone is comfortable with being themselves and growing in the areas they are passionate in. Cat began her H-E-B career in 2003 as a cashier while attending the University of Texas where she graduated in 2007 with two degrees: Advertising and Public Affairs.
Cat is highly involved with the community and sits on two community councils for the Central Texas Region at H-E-B: Spirit Corps and Diversity Council. As the Historian, and past chair for Spirit Corps, she is passionate about growing community involvement and awareness at both the store and the regional level. She is currently the co-chair for H-E-B’s Diversity Council, where she focuses on diversity and inclusion for the Central Texas Region. She was recognized by H-E-B and received the Diversity Champion Award in 2017.
Cat is a current member of Urban Roots’ Board of Directors where she her passion for food and education collide into one. Cat loves to volunteer and is often found with her fiancé, Anival, in their spare time, serving the community with different organizations such as SXSW, the Trail Foundation or the Texas Book Festival. They also love to travel, especially to Disney World.
