Alison Crowe is an experienced professional in the field of emergency care and community services. Currently serving as Manager and Project Manager for Global Emergency Care at the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine since May 2022, Alison has previously held significant roles at Independence Australia from March 2016 to May 2022, including Programs & Partnerships Manager and Community Projects Manager, where notable accomplishments included securing a three-year government contract and integrating new product applications. The Australasian College for Emergency Medicine is committed to the training, examination and representation of specialist emergency physicians in Australia and New Zealand. Founded in 1984 with a base of 73 Fellows, ACEM now represents over 1,800 Fellows and 2,300 trainees. Overseeing the training and written and clinical examinations of trainees is a major part of ACEM’s mission, as is providing a program of continuing professional development for Fellows. ACEM has a vital interest in the quality of emergency medical care provided to the community and therefore has a wide range of subsidiary objectives relating to emergency department accreditation, policies and standards for the emergency medical system, teaching and research, publication, and those aspects of the medico political framework that have a direct impact on health outcomes for emergency patients.
