Dr Karen Patterson serves as the Director of Capability and Culture at the Clinical Excellence Commission since March 2019, focusing on patient safety. Additionally, Dr Patterson is a Board Director for both the Circle Foundation Cooperative and the Australasian College of Health Service Management, where previous roles included NSW Branch Immediate Past President and Certified Health Executive. As the Principal and Founder of Patterson Consultancy PTY LTD, Dr Patterson has delivered health sector advisory services in various areas including policy development and program reviews. With extensive experience as an Accreditation Assessor for the Australian Nursing & Midwifery Accreditation Council and a strong academic background, including a PhD candidacy at the University of Technology Sydney, Dr Patterson has significantly contributed to the nursing and midwifery professions and health service management.
