James Lane

James Lane is an experienced editor and journalist with a career spanning several decades. Since December 1995, Lane has been with the Australian Associated Press (AAP), holding various roles including Editor/Journalist, Deputy Editor of AAP FactCheck, and Internet Desk Deputy Editor. Responsibilities have included editing and writing national and world news, analyzing the accuracy of public statements, and managing news production workflows. Previous experience includes a stint as a journalist at Agence France Presse, as well as freelance contributions to TNT Magazine London, and a journalism position at Maitland Mercury. Lane began formal education at St Joseph's College Hunters Hill, obtaining a Higher School Certificate.
