Irene Francisco

Irene Francisco is an experienced professional in mental health and lactation consulting, currently serving as Program Manager and Clinical Educator at Queensland Centre for Mental Health Learning since May 2016. Irene has been with Insight: Centre for AOD Training and Workforce Development as an Advanced Clinical Educator since January 2021 and has volunteered as a Breastfeeding Counsellor, Trainer and Assessor with the Australian Breastfeeding Association since August 2007. Previous roles include Project Manager at Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service, where Irene developed resources to support mental health care under the Mental Health Act 2016, and clinical practice as a lactation consultant in private practice from January 2012 to November 2016. Irene's extensive background encompasses project coordination, training development, and clinical practice in various mental health settings, complemented by a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Hons) from The University of Queensland.
