Marita Cowie

Marita Cowie AM is the Chief Executive Officer & Company Secretary at the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) since 1998. Marita is also the Executive Director at Joint Colleges Training Services Pty Ltd, a joint venture of ACRRM and the RACGP. Marita has been actively involved in various Ministerial Advisory Committees and holds the position of Associate Professor at James Cook University. Additionally, Marita serves as an Executive Committee Member in the Rural Working Group at WONCA and has been a part of other notable committees such as the National Clinical Evidence Taskforce. With a background in Clinical Psychology and Business, Marita has made significant contributions to the field of Rural Generalist Medicine over the years.
