Alex McGregor

Alex McGregor is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in media consultancy and speechwriting. Currently serving as a Speechwriter at the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) since June 2019 and a Senior Media Consultant at the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) since April 2018, Alex has honed expertise in crafting impactful communications. Previous roles include Media Comms positions at Fairfield City Council and JRS - Jesuit Refugee Services, as well as a directorial role at Shed Social. Alex also has a strong background in media advisement, having worked as a Senior Media Advisor for the NSW Government Minister and in various media roles from 2005 to 2011. The earlier career as a freelance writer included contributions to prominent UK publications such as The Financial Times and The Sunday Times, alongside production work for Nat Geo and The Discovery Channel. Alex holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of New South Wales.
