Angela Corcoran

Angela Corcoran is an accomplished diplomat currently serving as the Head of Mission at the Australian Embassy in Yangon, Myanmar, since February 2020. With extensive experience in various capacities within the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Angela has held notable positions such as Assistant Secretary for the Southeast Asia Mainland Branch and Southeast Asia Maritime Branch, overseeing key relationships with multiple countries in the region. Prior to these roles, Angela served as the Australian Ambassador to Cambodia and held various assistant secretary positions responsible for Indonesia's political, economic, and aid programs. Angela's career began with leadership roles in international development and consulting, notably at AusAID and UniQuest. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Economics (Hons) from The University of Queensland and a Master of Economics in International Economics from the University of New England.
