Sacha Blumen

Sacha Blumen has extensive experience in international relations, mathematics, and consulting. Currently serving as Assistant Director at the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade since May 2017, Sacha has held various roles including First Secretary at the Australian High Commission in Dhaka and Assistant Director in the South and West Asia Division. Prior to this, Sacha was a Senior Consultant at ACIL Allen Consulting, leading projects in government, energy, and social policy. Sacha's earlier career includes positions as Advisor at the Australian Energy Market Commission, where contributions were made to national energy market policies, and as Research Fellow at the Australian Council for Educational Research. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Pure Mathematics from the University of Sydney and a Master of Arts in International Relations from The Australian National University.
