Mark Feather is a highly experienced professional who has worked in various senior roles in the energy sector in Australia and the UK. Mark is currently the General Manager at the Australian Energy Regulator, where Mark provides advice on national and state energy policy issues. Mark has also held significant positions at the Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources, the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning, the Australian Energy Market Commission, Ofgem, and the Department of Treasury and Finance in Victoria. Mark holds an Honours Degree in Law and Bachelor of Arts, Law, Economics, Psychology from the University of Adelaide, as well as a graduate diploma in European competition law from King's College London.

We protect the interests of household and small business consumers by enforcing the Retail Law. Our retail energy market functions cover New South Wales, South Australia, Tasmania, the ACT and Queensland. We set the standing offer prices small business and residential customers pay in areas where there is no other retail price regulation – South Australia, New South Wales and south-east Queensland.
