Barend Meiring

Barend Meiring has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Barend most recently worked as a Project Manager at AFG since July 2021. Prior to that, they were a Secretary at Project Management Institute WA from February 2022 to January 2023. From February 2020 to June 2021, they served as a Project Manager at Katabat. Before that, they worked as a Consultant at Silver Lining Cloud Solutions from April 2019 to February 2020. Barend also had various roles at Pioneer Credit Limited, including Product Owner/ Project Coordinator / Business Analyst from December 2018 to April 2019, Lending Operations Manager from January 2018 to November 2018, Senior Team Performance Coach from June 2014 to January 2018, Team Performance Coach from June 2012 to June 2014, Senior Account Manager from February 2012 to June 2012, and Account Manager from January 2011 to February 2012. Additionally, they served as a Senior Team Leader at Sphere Legal in April 2017 and as a Merchandiser at Superior Sales Force from June 2009 to November 2010.

Barend Meiring began their education history in 2000 at Hoerskool florida, where they completed their Highschool Matriculation. After graduating from high school, Barend went on to pursue further education. From 2013 to 2014, they attended Knowledge Space and obtained a Certificate IV in Customer Contact. In 2015, Barend enrolled in TAFE NSW Higher Education and completed a Diploma in Project Management by 2017. Barend then returned to Knowledge Space from 2017 to 2019 to earn a Certificate IV in Leadership and Management with a focus on Organizational Leadership.

In addition to their formal education, Barend Meiring has obtained several certifications. In 2019, they received the AgilePM Foundation certification from APMG International. Barend later achieved the Salesforce Certified Administrator (SCA) and Salesforce Certified Sales Cloud Consultant certifications from Salesforce in 2019 and 2020, respectively. Barend also holds the PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certification from the Project Management Institute, which they obtained in 2020. Barend'smost recent certifications include the Disciplined Agile Scrum Master (DASM) and CD-MC Citizen Developer: Practitioner certifications, both earned in 2021 from the Project Management Institute. Barend has also been recognized as a Chapter Leader by the Project Management Institute in 2022.
