Tashi Tobgay has extensive work experience in the field of cyber security and technology. They started their career as an Information and Communication Technology Officer at the Anti-Corruption Commission in 2010 and held this role until 2013. After that, they became a Sr. Technical Surveillance & Intelligence Officer from 2013 to 2016, and then transitioned to the role of Lead Programmer from 2016 to 2018. In 2019, Tashi Tobgay joined the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries as a Senior Cyber Security Analyst, where they worked until 2022. Currently, Tashi Tobgay is a Cyber Security Analyst at AFG, starting in June 2022.
Tashi Tobgay holds a Master's degree in Cyber Security from Edith Cowan University, which they attained from 2018 to 2019. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Science and Engineering from Jaypee Institute Of Information Technology between 2005 and 2009. In addition to their formal education, Tashi Tobgay has obtained various certifications including Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) from Offensive Security in November 2021, Microsoft MS-500 - Microsoft 365 Security Administrator from DDLS in May 2021, Microsoft MD-101T00 - Managing Modern Desktops from DDLS in October 2020, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in April 2020, and AWS Technical Essentials from DDLS in October 2019.
