Barry Rigby

Barry Rigby serves as the President of the AFL Doctors Association and the Chief Medical Officer for the Gold Coast Suns AFL, with experience in these roles dating back to January 2009. As an Intensivist at Pindara Private Hospital and Gold Coast Private Hospital since January 2001, Barry Rigby also holds the position of Associate Professor and Deputy Head of School at Bond University’s School of Medicine. Previous roles include Director of Emergency Medicine at Pindara Private Hospital (2000-2015) and Medical Director of Intensive Care Medicine and Emergency Medicine at The Tweed Hospital. Barry Rigby's educational credentials include fellowships and memberships from various prestigious medical colleges, ensuring a robust foundation in emergency care, intensive care, and primary care, stemming from an MB.BS. in Medicine from The University of Queensland.
