Beau Tran has a diverse work experience in various industries. Beau started their career as a Field Umpire at the Northern Football League in 2008 and continued in this role until 2018. During this time, they also worked as a Tennis Services Administrator at Tennis Australia from 2015 to 2017. In 2012, they served as a Customer Service Assistant at the Victoria Racing Club until 2016. Beau joined the Essendon Football Club in 2016 as a Merchandise Assistant, where they stayed until 2018. Beau then worked as a Competitions Coordinator at Football Victoria from 2018 to 2020, before becoming a Competitions Manager at Netball Queensland & the Queensland Firebirds for a short period in 2020. In 2021, Beau took on the role of Coordinator - Metropolitan Melbourne at the Department of Jobs, Precincts, and Regions, where they worked until 2023. Currently, they are the Community Venue Development Lead for Victoria at the AFL - Australian Football League. Additionally, Beau had a project management role in 2016, where they led a team of undergraduate students as a Project Manager for the Ohio University Sports Administration.
Beau Tran has a diverse educational background in the field of sport and fitness administration/management. Beau completed their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a specialization in Sport and Fitness Administration/Management from Deakin University in the years 2015-2020. Prior to that, they also obtained a Bachelor of Sport's Development from the same institution between 2012-2015. During their undergraduate years, Beau participated in an exchange program at the University of Windsor, where they studied kinesiology in 2013-2014.
Before pursuing higher education, Beau completed their Victorian Certificate of Education at Melbourne High School from 2008-2011. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications relevant to their field. In November 2011, they completed the Responsible Serving of Alcohol certification. In the same year and month, they also obtained the Working With Children's Check from the Department of Justice, Victoria, Australia. Lastly, in April 2011, Beau obtained the Level 2 First Aid certification. As for their current educational pursuits, they are currently attending the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where they are working towards a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Sport and Fitness Administration/Management.
