Josh Bowler has worked for various organizations throughout their career. Josh started in 2009 at the City of Wanneroo as a Programs Officer until 2011. From 2011 to 2021, they worked for the West Australian Football Commission, taking on roles such as Community Football Coordinator, Manager Participation, and Manager Facilities and Events. In 2021, they joined the AFL - Australian Football League as the COVID Compliance and Governance Lead. Josh later became the Scheduling Manager and currently holds the position of Head of Broadcast Operations and Scheduling.

Josh Bowler attended St Marks Anglican Community School from 2003 to 2007, but did not obtain a degree or study a specific field during this time. Josh then pursued a Bachelor of Sports Management degree in Sports Management at Edith Cowan University from 2008 to 2010.
