Melanya's work experience begins in 2004, where they worked at St Kilda Football Club as a Marketing Events Assistant. From 2007 to 2008, they moved to Collingwood Football Club as a Membership Marketing Coordinator on a contract basis. In 2008, they joined KRock & BayFM Radio Stations as an Administration Manager and Broadcast Assistant, staying there until 2011. Following this, they joined 1116 SEN (Pacific Star Network) in 2011 as a Sales Account Coordinator and Football Administration-Producer until 2013. Next, they worked at Carlton Football Club as a Membership Client Relations Contractor, starting in 2013 and staying until 2014. Currently, they are a part of the AFL - Australian Football League, working as AFL Media since 2015.

Melanya has a degree in Media Relations with a field of study in Communication and Media Studies from La Trobe University. M E L A N Y A also has a field of study in Journalism from Victoria University. In addition, they have obtained a Certificate of Social Media & Brand Marketing from Alison.
