Mulyadi is an experienced academic who has previously held academic appointments at the Centre for Workplace Leadership (The University of Melbourne), Monash University, and Alphacrucis College. He served as the Bachelor of Commerce Course Coordinator (Management Studies) and Monash College Course Coordinator at Monash University, and was Program Director for the flagship Master of Leadership Program at Alphacrucis College.
Mulyadi’s research examines the impacts of servant leadership on follower and organisational outcomes, and he is particularly interested in the unintended outcomes of good practices. His research interests also include commitment to change, high performance work systems, research in higher education, and abusive supervision. Mulyadi’s works has been published in outlets such as The Leadership Quarterly, Journal of Business Ethics, Personnel Review, and The Conversation among others.
A highly awarded researcher and educator, Mulyadi was awarded the 2013 Greenleaf Scholar by the Greenleaf Centre for Servant Leadership, was the highly commended winner for the 2014 Emerald/EFMD Outstanding Doctoral Research Award, and received a grant from the Monash Business School to examine key drivers of success among international students. Mulyadi was nominated as the best lecturer by the Monash Postgraduate Association in 2016, received the 2016 Teacher Innovation and Impact Award from the Monash Education Academy, and the 2017 Dean’s Award for Teaching Excellence at the Monash Business School.
Mulyadi serves on a number of Boards, and has consulted for a number of for-profit and not-for-profit organizations.
