Donna Calderwood

Trainer & Assessor at Australian Institute Of Fitness

Donna has been in the fitness industry since 1992, first obtaining her Certificate as an Aerobics Instructor and later completing her Certificate III in Fitness. It was during her time teaching group fitness that she developed a deeper knowledge of designing choreography to music. With the fitness industry heading more into pre-choreographed classes, becoming a Les Mills Instructor would be her next venture.

Having spent many years working in gyms & leisure centres, she began to notice a lot of injuries occurring through improper training & recovery in her participants, keen to learn more about how to assist people in pain, injury & rehabilitation, she decided to become a Remedial Massage therapist, graduating with her “Diploma” & also receiving the “Guardian” award.

With her desire for continued learning and passion for teaching, Donna joined the team at the Australian Institute of Fitness as a massage Coach. She loves to pass on her knowledge & skills to the friends feels privileged to be able to help them learn to become confident & effective Massage Therapists.

Wanting to focus more on her coaching career at the AIF, Donna “hung up” her mic belt and no longer teaches Group Fitness, only available for class covers if needed. She treats clients at Ellenbrook Life Balance.
