Britta Schaffelke is a seasoned marine science professional with extensive experience focused on coral reef and coastal ecosystem health. Since 2006, Britta has worked at the Australian Institute of Marine Science in various leadership roles, including Manager of International Partnerships, Director of the Research Program "A Healthy and Resilient Great Barrier Reef," and Senior Research Scientist. Additionally, Britta serves as the Global Coordinator for the Global Coral Reef Monitoring Network since January 2023. Prior to these roles, Britta held positions related to knowledge exchange and education at James Cook University & CRC Reef, project management at the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority, and research at CSIRO.
