Alyce Wood OLY is an accomplished athlete and professional with a diverse background that includes significant roles in the Olympic community and sports media. Currently serving as the Deputy Chair of the Athletes Commission at the Australian Olympic Committee, Alyce advocates for athletes' interests and promotes open communication within the Olympic sphere. As a Project Manager at QFence, Alyce manages various commercial and public infrastructure projects to ensure successful outcomes. Additionally, Alyce hosts the podcast 'The Mum Athlete,' which highlights the experiences of motherhood and elite sport. With extensive experience as a Communications Specialist, Business Owner of Paddlr., and past roles in media and public relations, Alyce combines a strong academic foundation with a passion for empowering female athletes. Alyce holds an M.B.A. and a degree in Communication from Griffith University.

The AOC is committed to developing, promoting and protecting the principles of Olympism and the Olympic Movement in Australia in accordance with the Olympic Charter. The AOC is committed to Australia's athletes and encourages the development of high performance sport through athlete support and funding initiatives. It is our responsibility to select, send and fund Australian Teams to the Olympic Summer and Winter Games, Youth Olympic Games and Regional Games. The AOC aims to promote, raise awareness of and encourage participation in sport for benefits of health, longevity, fitness, skill, achievement, social interaction, wellbeing and other benefits of exercise for all individuals in Australia. The AOC is dedicated to the education of Australia's youth and runs a number of programs through all levels of school, including the Olympics Unleashed program and the Australian Olympic Change-Maker program. The AOC is a non-profit organisation, independent of Government and Government funding other than contributions by State Governments to the Olympic Team Appeal. The AOC is an Incorporated Association whose members are the national bodies of sports on the Olympic program. State Olympic Councils represent the AOC in every State and Territory.
