John Farrow is a seasoned motivational speaker and Olympic athlete with extensive experience in inspiring individuals and groups across various sectors. Self-employed since March 2013, John provides motivational, corporate, and educational speaking engagements, focusing on themes such as overcoming adversity, commitment, and teamwork. As a member of the Australian Olympic Committee since November 2008, John competed in the 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi, setting a new Australian record in male skeleton. In addition to athletic achievements, John serves as a guest speaker for the NSW Institute of Sport, sharing insights into Olympic life and motivating aspiring athletes. Currently, John also holds the position of Athletic Director at Sliding Sports Australia Limited, where John oversees athlete talent identification and development for the sport of skeleton. John completed high school at St Leos College in Wahroonga from 1994 to 1999.

The AOC is committed to developing, promoting and protecting the principles of Olympism and the Olympic Movement in Australia in accordance with the Olympic Charter. The AOC is committed to Australia's athletes and encourages the development of high performance sport through athlete support and funding initiatives. It is our responsibility to select, send and fund Australian Teams to the Olympic Summer and Winter Games, Youth Olympic Games and Regional Games. The AOC aims to promote, raise awareness of and encourage participation in sport for benefits of health, longevity, fitness, skill, achievement, social interaction, wellbeing and other benefits of exercise for all individuals in Australia. The AOC is dedicated to the education of Australia's youth and runs a number of programs through all levels of school, including the Olympics Unleashed program and the Australian Olympic Change-Maker program. The AOC is a non-profit organisation, independent of Government and Government funding other than contributions by State Governments to the Olympic Team Appeal. The AOC is an Incorporated Association whose members are the national bodies of sports on the Olympic program. State Olympic Councils represent the AOC in every State and Territory.
