Richard Amato is an accomplished executive with extensive leadership experience, currently serving as Chief Executive Officer and Executive General Manager at Enerven since January 2018. Additionally, Richard holds the position of Chair of the Australian Olympic Team Appeal - SA for the Australian Olympic Committee and is a Board Member for both Hutt St Centre and North Eastern Community Hospital. Richard has been a Trustee for the SA Power Networks Employee Foundation since July 2018 and has played key roles in SA Power Networks since October 2003, including Chief Executive Officer and Executive General Manager. The AOC is committed to developing, promoting and protecting the principles of Olympism and the Olympic Movement in Australia in accordance with the Olympic Charter. The AOC is committed to Australia's athletes and encourages the development of high performance sport through athlete support and funding initiatives. It is our responsibility to select, send and fund Australian Teams to the Olympic Summer and Winter Games, Youth Olympic Games and Regional Games. The AOC aims to promote, raise awareness of and encourage participation in sport for benefits of health, longevity, fitness, skill, achievement, social interaction, wellbeing and other benefits of exercise for all individuals in Australia. The AOC is dedicated to the education of Australia's youth and runs a number of programs through all levels of school, including the Olympics Unleashed program and the Australian Olympic Change-Maker program. The AOC is a non-profit organisation, independent of Government and Government funding other than contributions by State Governments to the Olympic Team Appeal. The AOC is an Incorporated Association whose members are the national bodies of sports on the Olympic program. State Olympic Councils represent the AOC in every State and Territory.
