Karen Michelle is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles, currently serving as Chief Financial Officer for the Australian Public Service since May 2025. Karen holds additional positions as Treasurer of the Board of Directors for the Perinatal Wellbeing Centre and was previously Acting CFO at the National Museum of Australia. Karen has been involved with multiple audit and risk committees across several organizations, including the Australian Communications and Media Authority and the Australian Research Council. With a strong background as Owner of CJZ Consulting, Karen has successfully integrated operational strategies and provided cost assurance in high-stakes environments. Educational qualifications include being a Chartered Accountant and holding a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce and Science from The Australian National University, along with current studies in Programme Management.
