Kate Brady is a Senior Research Fellow at UNSW since October 2023, and has been serving as a Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne since 2020. With extensive experience at the Australian Red Cross, Kate has held multiple roles including Technical Adviser in Disaster Recovery, National Recovery Adviser, and National Recovery Coordinator for Emergency Services, overseeing the comprehensive development of recovery programs across Australia. Additionally, Kate contributed as the Victorian Bushfire Recovery Coordinator and National Manager of Trusts & Foundations. Academically, Kate earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Disaster Recovery from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Sociology and Industrial Relations from the University of Sydney.
