Mel S has extensive experience in communications and branding within the public sector, currently serving as Acting Director at the Australian Cyber Security Centre since August 2021, where earlier roles included Deputy Director and Assistant Director for Digital and Branding Communications. Prior to this, Mel S worked at Defence Jobs Australia from March 2015 to July 2021 in various capacities, including Brand Portfolio Manager for the Army and Army Reserve. Additional experience includes a role as Account Manager at Progressive PR & Publicity and an internship focused on Government Relations and Media at Lifeline Australia. Mel S earned a Bachelor of Public Relations with a focus on Political Communication from the University of Canberra between 2010 and 2013.
