Alexandra Caples has extensive experience in the field of policy evaluations, public impact, and cybersecurity. Alexandra currently holds the position of Director, Cyber, Technology & Security at the Australian Strategic Policy Institute. Prior to this, they worked as a Director at KPMG Australia, where they specialized in policy evaluations and public impact. Alexandra also served as a Relocation Project Manager at the Australian Embassy in Washington DC for a period of one year. Alexandra has also held various director-level positions at the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, focusing on border security, law enforcement, crisis management, and international cyber policy and operations. Earlier in their career, Alexandra worked as a Senior Policy Advisor at the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

Alexandra Caples completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics at UNSW from 1995 to 1997. Alexandra pursued their PhD in International Relations from 2003 to 2005 at Monash University. In 2016 and 2017, Alexandra studied Maritime Archaeology, earning their Masters degree from the University of Oxford.
