Kim Beazley

Distinguished Senior Fellow at Australian Strategic Policy Institute

Kim Beazley currently serves as the Chair of the Board of Directors and a Distinguished Fellow at the Perth USAsia Centre. Beazley also holds the position of Chair of the Council at the Australian War Memorial and is a Board Member at Luerssen Australia and the United States Studies Centre at the University of Sydney. Since May 2016, Beazley has been a Distinguished Senior Fellow at the Australian Strategic Policy Institute. Previous roles include Governor of Western Australia from May 2018 to June 2022, Co-Chairman of the Australian American Leadership Dialogue from 2016 to 2018, and President of the Australian Institute of International Affairs from January 2016 to January 2017. Between February 2010 and January 2016, Beazley served as the Ambassador of Australia to the United States and was Chancellor of The Australian National University from July 2008 to December 2009. Beazley holds a Master of Philosophy from the University of Oxford and both a Master of Arts and Bachelor of Arts from The University of Western Australia.
