Kent Anderson serves as the Executive Director at the Australian Technology Network of Universities since May 2025. Prior to this role, Anderson held positions such as Deputy Vice Chancellor at the University of Newcastle from June 2021 to May 2025 and Senior Advisor for Higher Education to the Minister for Education between August 2019 and July 2021. Anderson has a diverse background in academia, having served as Interim Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) at the University of Newcastle and as Deputy Vice Chancellor (Community & Engagement) at The University of Western Australia. Educational qualifications include a Master of Jurisprudence from the University of Oxford, a Doctor of Law and a Master of Arts in Asian Studies from Washington University in St. Louis, and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Economics from Middlebury College.
