Bernard Drew

Bernard Drew is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in various corporate legal roles. Currently, Bernard serves as General Manager - Group Legal & Governance and Senior Legal Counsel at Australian Unity since July 2015. Bernard also founded Ignite Legal, providing commercial legal advice to startups and growing businesses in fintech, media, technology, consumer goods, and fashion. Prior experience includes leadership roles at ANZ, where Bernard supported business growth and legal structuring for Equities and Wealth, and served as a trusted advisor for Global Markets. Earlier positions include significant contributions at Blake Dawson in intellectual property, Anderson Mori as a foreign legal practitioner, and training at the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions. Bernard holds a Bachelor of Laws from The University of Queensland, supplemented by certifications in finance and fashion.
