Alexander Sommer

Alexander Sommer has a diverse work experience across various industries. Alexander started their career as an iOS Developer at KURIER Digital in 2010, followed by a role as a Mobile Developer at EVOLARIS next level GmbH in 2011. During the same year, they also founded and developed a project called www.airwriting.com.

In 2011, Alexander joined OMV as a Junior Expert Short Term Optimization and later progressed to roles such as Expert Short Term Optimization and IT Project Manager. Alexander worked at OMV until 2019.

From 2019 to 2022, Alexander worked at Stadt Wien - Wiener Wohnen Kundenservice GmbH. Alexander held the positions of Projektleiter Digitalisierung and Fachbereichsleiter Digital Office. Their responsibilities included supporting the Chief Digital Officer in digitalization initiatives and identifying new technologies to enhance the quality of life in Vienna.

Currently, Alexander is employed as a Team Lead Corporate Applications at Austrian Power Grid AG, starting from 2022.

Alexander Sommer earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Wirtschaftsinformatik from Technische Universität Wien, completing their studies from 2003 to 2009. In addition, they have obtained several certifications related to blockchain, artificial intelligence, and machine learning, including Crypto Wizkid from Bitpanda GmbH in 2021, and various certifications from Coursera and LinkedIn between 2015 and 2019.
