AUTHORESS® is founded on the idea that every woman is the author of her own story.

Authoress began at a sewing machine, not in a boardroom.
I started sewing my own clothes while recovering from burnout in a corporate job, learning about fit and fabric one garment at a time. What began as a personal skill soon became a point of view, that clothing, like the food we consume, should be made thoughtfully. It sits close to our skin, affects our comfort, and becomes part of our daily life. All our pieces are designed and produced in small batches using natural and culturally rich Indian fabrics like cotton, linen, kotta, hakoba etc. This brand is built slowly and intentionally. Not mass-produced.
