Justin Soong

Justin Soong has a solid background in technology and entrepreneurship. Justin is currently working as the Product/Founder at Authsignal since October 2021. In addition, they are a Member of the Executive Council at Digital Identity NZ starting from December 2022.

Previously, Justin served as the Entrepreneur in Residence at Dovetail from October 2021 to July 2022. Prior to that, they were the Chief Technology Officer at Laybuy from April 2019 to October 2021, where they led the technological aspects and achieved significant growth in payments Gross Merchandise Value.

Justin also worked as a Project Lead/Senior Technologist at Dovetail from June 2017 to April 2019 and as a Consultant/Development (After Hours) at Zeal/Vodafone Foundation/Gravity Lab from January 2018 to June 2018. In these roles, they contributed to the design, development, and launch of various platforms and applications.

Before joining Dovetail, Justin held the position of Delivery Lead at Harmoney Ltd from March 2015 to June 2017, where they played a crucial role in project delivery. Justin also worked as an Implementation Consultant at Orion Health from July 2014 to March 2015.

Justin's early career includes roles such as Senior Developer, Web Systems & Operations at NZX Limited from October 2011 to July 2014, where they received recognition for their exceptional performance and contributed to website redesign and development of various systems. Justin also worked as an Applications Developer at Hewlett-Packard from April 2011 to September 2011.

Justin Soong obtained their Bachelor's degree in Commerce with a focus on Economics and Computer Systems & Networks from the University of Canterbury. Justin attended the university from 2006 to 2008.
