Engineering Manager, Technical Support at Autify

Lalith Vipulananthan is an experienced professional with a diverse background in technical support, engineering management, and software development. Lalith most recently worked at Autify as an Engineering Manager, Technical Support. Prior to that, Lalith was the Support Lead at Tier IV, Inc. from April 2020 to September 2022.

Lalith also held multiple roles at Tableau Software, including Technical Support Manager from February 2018 to December 2019. During this time, they played a vital role in building the support team in Tokyo and acted as a cultural ambassador. Lalith conducted technical interviews, provided guidance and cover for the Japan Support Manager, and set up and chaired meetings for APAC support managers. Lalith also collaborated with international technical leads to review and develop support processes. Lalith created and implemented a training program for Tableau partners and contributed to open-source projects.

Prior to Tableau, Lalith took a career break from January 2011 to July 2012 to pursue world travel, film reviewing, home tutoring, and web development. Before the break, they worked as a Software Developer at Barclays Capital from November 2007 to November 2010, where they developed and supported the Pre-Deal Checking system. Lalith also served as an interim PDC Delivery Manager and worked on various software development projects.

Beginning in 2004, Lalith worked at Euronext.liffe as a Senior Systems Analyst and Systems Analyst. Lalith led the development for the Tokyo Financial Exchange update project and managed bug reports for the M&C applications during the Tower project.

Lalith's early career included working as an Application Programmer at LIFFE from September 2000 to June 2004.

Lalith Vipulananthan pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Imperial College London, which they completed from 1996 to 2000. In terms of additional certifications, Lalith obtained several qualifications over the years. In 2011, they obtained the Rescue Diver certification from PADI. In 2014, they became a Tableau Server 8 Qualified Associate, certified by Tableau Software. Lalith further enhanced their skills in Tableau by obtaining the Tableau Server 9 Certified Professional certification from Tableau Software in 2016. Additionally, in the same year, they completed the "6.00.1x: Introduction to Computer Science and Programming Using Python" course from MITx on edX. In 2016, Lalith also achieved the Tableau Desktop 10 Qualified Associate certification from Tableau Software. Lalith further expanded their knowledge in programming by completing the "Crash Course on Python" course in 2020. Finally, Lalith obtained the Japanese Language Proficiency Test - N2 certification from JEES - Japan Educational Exchanges and Services in 2018.
