Ami McIntosh is currently serving as an Autism Ontario Representative for the WRDSB Special Education Advisory Committee, attending monthly SEAC meetings to advocate for the organization's position with the Waterloo District School board. With a background in social work and advocacy, Ami has also worked as an Autism Advocate and Women's Advocate for organizations such as YWCA Hamilton and has experience in casework and housing assistance with various organizations in the Toronto area. Ami holds a degree in Correctional Worker from Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology.

Autism Ontario (legally incorporated as Autism Society Ontario) is a charitable organization with a history of over 50 years representing the thousands of people on the autism spectrum and their families across Ontario. Made up of knowledgeable parents, professionals, and autistic self-advocates who can speak to the key issues that impact autistic individuals and their families, Autism Ontario is the province’s leading source of information and referral on autism, and one of the largest collective voices representing the autism community. There are seven regions across the province of Ontario.
