John Chan

John Chan has extensive experience in finance systems and business insight, currently serving as the Head of Finance Systems & Business Insight at Auto Trader UK since July 2016. In this role, John is a member of the Finance Leadership Team and oversees a data analytics and finance systems team, facilitating strategic changes for over 70 finance colleagues. Previously, John held several positions at Auto Trader UK, including Finance Systems and Business Insight Manager, where significant achievements included leading the migration of Operational Finance metrics to Google Cloud Platform. Prior to Auto Trader, John worked at The Co-op for a decade, contributing to key projects such as the design and implementation of financial planning systems and participating in a major finance transformation program. Early career experience includes financial roles at MyTravel Plc. John holds an ACMA CGMA designation from The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and a degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Manchester.
