Autodesk
Daniele Grandi has extensive experience in research and engineering, particularly in the fields of machine learning and additive manufacturing. At Autodesk from January 2015 to November 2024, Daniele advanced from Sr. Research Engineer to Principal Research Scientist, focusing on enhancing design methods with machine learning and large CAD datasets. Prior to Autodesk, Daniele contributed to a small additive manufacturing startup by developing streamlined processes and planning future facilities. As a Fusion 360 intern at Autodesk, Daniele created 3D CAD content and facilitated workshops at UC Berkeley. A previous internship at GE Oil & Gas involved designing an enclosure for a torque sensor and establishing a materials library. Daniele also founded the first CAD club at UC Berkeley, leading design competitions. Daniele holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master's degree in Information and Data Science from the UC Berkeley School of Information.
