Fábio Pinto

Fábio Pinto has a diverse range of work experience in the field of data science and artificial intelligence. Fábio started their career as an intern at SONAE in 2011, followed by a research visit at the University of Waikato in 2016. Fábio then worked as a Data Scientist at Farfetch from 2016 to 2017. Fábio joined INESC Technology and Science as a Researcher from 2013 to 2017. In 2017, they became a Senior Data Scientist at Feedzai before transitioning to a Teaching Assistant role at Porto Business School. Most recently, Fábio has worked at Automaise, starting as a Lead Data Scientist from 2019 to 2020 and currently serving as the Head of Artificial Intelligence since January 2021.

Fábio Pinto holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Informatics Engineering from the Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto. Prior to that, they earned a Master's degree in Data Analysis and Decision Support Systems from FEP U. Porto – Economics and Management. Fábio also completed a Post-graduation in Financial and Monetary Economics at the Universidade do Minho, followed by a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the same university.
