AutomateX helps UK rail businesses get their senior engineering capacity back.

Rail runs in peaks and troughs. When work floods in, teams scale up; when it dries out, they scale down. Knowledge leaks away with every cycle, and the experienced engineers who hold it are the first to burn out.

We help rail teams stop scaling the team but start scaling the system around it.

We build AI automation around a small senior core, so the same team carries far more of the peak without the hire-rehire swing. Our tools take the assurance admin off engineers' desks: DRN and CAT 3 drafting, PACE deliverables, hazard logs, requirement traceability and clause-level standards search. The engineer keeps every decision, and every signature. That is the point. We remove the admin, not the people, so your team spends more time on the engineering that needs their judgement.

A software vendor can build you the tool. We have done your job, so we build the one that gets it right, and one that holds up under PACE assurance and RISQS audit.

We work two ways. Bespoke builds for Network Rail and Tier 1 teams, where we find the friction in your existing process, design the solution, and build it around how you actually work. And Scribtive, our PACE assurance deliverable tool for the Tier 2 consultancies and SMEs who feel the same pain without a bespoke budget.

We sell outcomes, not hours. We price on the value delivered, not the time spent.

Founded and led by a Chartered Civil Engineer (FICE CEng) with a decade in rail delivery.

If your team loses senior time to assurance admin, we would be glad to show you what is already possible. Take the 2-minute AI-readiness scan or ask for a short demo at automatex.uk.
