Zack Young

Zack Young is an experienced project manager and engineer with a diverse background in various industries. Currently at Automatic Systems, Inc. since August 2019, Zack has successfully led a $40 million project for General Motors and managed a team of five engineers, specializing in conveyor system design using AutoCAD and Inventor. Prior to this role, Zack served as a Senior Research Technician at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, where training in mass spectrometry data analysis and method development for protein identification were key responsibilities. Previous positions include Chemist at Hach | Hach Lange, Research Assistant at Iowa State University, and Production Management Engineer at Cargill, where significant process improvements and project management were achieved. Zack holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Biochemistry from Iowa State University, complemented by a study abroad experience in Spanish Language and Literature at the University of Valencia.
