Jim Magnus is a seasoned Information Systems Senior Software Developer with extensive experience in process control and manufacturing execution systems (MES). Currently serving as a project manager for a MES implementation at Automation & Control Concepts, Jim is focused on enhancing operational efficiency for high-speed discrete manufacturing through improved measurement metrics. Previously, Jim held various roles at Anheuser-Busch Companies, where responsibilities included managing process control and quality assurance systems. Jim's expertise also encompasses leading significant projects at MAGNUS INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES, INC. and web development at Express Scripts. Techniques used include advanced algorithms, PIDs, IEC 1131, programming standards development, simulation, startup, and interfacing to MES databases. ACC has installedhundreds of controllers and developed countless pages of operating logic to control a variety of manufacturing processes and machines. This diverse cross-section of PLC brands and applications has taught ACC the importance of developing structured programming standards and flexible control code.
